Miriam Wyman holds degrees from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst (B.S., Environmental Sciences), the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point (M.S., Natural Resource Management / Environmental Education and Interpretation), and the University of Florida (Ph.D., School of Forest Resources and Conservation). Both her M.S. and Ph.D. research focused on forest livelihoods and conservation programs with rural forest communities in the Maya Forest regions of Mexico (M.S.) and Belize (Ph.D.). In the Academic Sustainability Program she teaches SUST 2000: Introduction to Sustainability and SUST 5000: Capstone to Sustainability. Before joining the Sustainability Program, she taught courses in the School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences.
